GARAGEVINO.COM contains the episodic, true tale of author and aspiring vigneron Will Staeger’s quest to launch a premium California winery from his garage in Santa Barbara. It is said it takes a large fortune to make a small one in the wine industry — unless you’re ready to get creative, and Will certainly is. It is also said that every great entrepreneur began his business in his garage — including Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, just to name a few. Will would love to add his name to that list, or at least earn a living as a vigneron, making fine wine the artisan’s way, and this blog will follow his adventure as he meets the people he needs to meet, buys the grapes he needs to buy, and makes the wine the way it must be made to satisfy his discriminating palate! Along the way you’ll hear the trials and tribulations of the permitting process, the recruitment of growers, consulting winemakers, you name it — and he’ll keep you updated with video clips of the documentary he’s making to track his tale.
